- CHAN Lucy (2025/2026 Semester 1)

the overall contents of the course are easy enough if you're more or less fluent. you can get a decent grade without trying too hard + the prof is really nice and she has a bunch of activities that make the course more engaging than it should be for what it is (and she doesn't trust the AI detector in turnitin)

- Freeman TAI (2025/2026 Semester 1)

Teaching academic English writing and presentation. Contents are not difficult at all. But a little bit boring. Workload is relatively light. The only homework is preparation for the 3 assessments of this subject (essay outline, essay, and pair presentation). No mandatory homework required outside the assessment preparation periods. Freeman is really good and kind. Love the warm up session at the beginning of every class (fun knowledge about English language and culture). Always let us go about 1 hour earlier. Very patient and detailed about the assessment guidance. Always answer questions in emails from us kindly and timely. Love him so much. Got a B+ even after I made a few mistakes in essay and literally stuck for many times in presentation+Q&A session.

Result: B+

Nice teacher, decent course

- WONG, Yinhay (2025/2026 Semester 1)

Wong Yinhay is a really good teacher. She often gives us breaks during classes or lets us leave early. The way she grades is also generous. However, the course itself isn't very interesting.
