obviously if you've done programming before you will likely have a strong advantage in this class. i honestly didn't even pay much attention to the lectures and i still did well on the quizzes and assignments, and the final exam was very easy (albeit confusing). he gives you quiz prep material so review that since the actual quizzes will be exactly the same format, just with different questions. assignments are the harder part depending on what you get so i suggest that you tackle them ASAP (i cant speak since i forgot about assignment 1 until the final day and did it quickly the day it was due) final exam is open book but honestly? u dont really need external material; it will just confuse you. just have the lecture material etched into ur understanding.
