- Jack K.C. CHUN (2025/2026 Semester 1)

CAR A course with ER/EW component. - 24% from attendence quiz (3% per lecture, best 8 will be counted) - 16% from reflective journal - 60% from term paper (50% + 10% ELC). Attendence quiz is easy, you just need to use ctrl + F to search the lecture note in real time to get full mark. Also, only best 8 will be counted so after you got 24 marks, you can just skip the last 3 lectures. Reflective journal is a piece of 400-600 words writing that is related to the book you need to read. For this semester, it is about AI girlfriend/boyfriend/best friend. Annoying part is that you need to copy all the chat log with AI to a word document and you can't just use screenshot. Term paper is not related to any of the lecture contents, it is entirely based on the reading of the book. Term paper need you to critically interpret author main points. Ask Jack Chun if you not sure whether your direction is correct. 1700 words maximum (hard cap) Jack Chun is helpful but the lectures are bored af. People just do their own thing during lecture. The workload is relatively small as you just need to do 2 writings, a reflective journal and a term paper. My suggestion for anyone want to take this subject is to read to book during the lecture since lecture knowledge is not important in writing your term paper but you need a lot of information from the book.
